Pascal N'guessan Moudou aka H.E. Nanan Awoura XIV

Pascal N'guessan Moudou was born in Cote d'Ivoire in 1942. After his studies in Cote d'Ivoire and Germany, he served in the Ministry of Youth and Sports.
Years after retirement, the time came for him to inherent the throne as Chief of the Land in Gomon, Sikensi. In 1996 he became: H.E. Chief Awoura XIV.

During his tenure as Chief, he strived to bring about positive changes for his people and in his region.

A daunting task at times, he fought for children and youth empowerment with access to better education, mentorship, social and family life improvement. His land of Gomon benefited on a larger scale from his development by his endeavors and programs such as the renovation of the market place that improved the working conditions of market women particularly.

Chief Awoura XIV also revolutionized the traditional legal system of his land by sevral reforms. Among them the powerful reform of the law of inheritance to ensure that children received their rightful inheritance after the death of their parents instead of an uncle as traditionally established by ancestors in the past.

He also funded the construction of the Presbytery of the Catholic parish.

A devout Christian, he was a choir member for most of his life and never ceased to rely on his faith while serving on his throne even more during challenging times. Through his life of devotion to GOD, he was inspired to write some praise and worship songs, that he would sing with much joy.

He was the founder and the President of the association of chiefs of lands of the region of Sikensi that counted several provinces and villages. Doing so, his progressive and revolutionary ideas for improvement and development affected people far beyond his territory.

His legacy lives forever!
